This job offer is for the position of Senior Cook at a fine-dining restaurant in Gulberg, Lahore. Job Description: Assist the head chef in managing and executing culinary operations while maintaining high-quality standards and promoting efficient teamwork within the kitchen. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring presentation and taste meet the restaurant's standards. Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and food handling practices. Oversee the preparation and setup of the assigned kitchen station before service begins. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following all sanitation and safety standards. Monitor food inventory levels, and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the head chef in creating new dishes, menus, and specials. Ensure that all food products are stored and rotated properly to prevent wastage and maintain quality. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked and served at the correct consistency. Assist in the planning and execution of special events and catering services. Adhere to the restaurant's recipes and cooking methods, making sure all dishes are prepared consistently. Handle and report any kitchen equipment maintenance or repair needs. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy times. Handle and resolve any kitchen-related issues that may arise during service. Keep up-to-date with food trends, techniques, and industry best practices. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among kitchen staff.
